Theodore Roosevelt School has received a wonderful opportunity from the non-profit SYTA Youth Foundation. They have donated tickets to our ESL students so they may attend The Lion King on Broadway on March 2nd!
All students in the ESL program will be treated to a complimentary lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe and will then enjoy the afternoon performance. Several teachers will chaperone the students on this wonderful experience.
TRS parent, Mrs. Sheelagh Wylie, sits on the board of trustees for the SYTA Foundation and made the initial connection with Roosevelt School. Mrs. Hazel Mejia, from the SYTA Foundation, has worked as the liaison with our staff to make sure all the details are covered. We are so grateful!
The students are thrilled and can't wait to enjoy lunch in New York City and a Broadway Play. Hakuna Matata!
